All I want for Christmas

Many of the people we asked wanted things much bigger than presents.  They were hoping for World Peace, a good community and acts of kindness.

Women seemed to take a long time to decide what they wanted, perhaps because they want more.  Teenagers wanted money and computer related things.  Men seemed to know what they wanted - things that made them more manly - and could easily decide on their ideal gifts.

Doris' Time at Shoreham College

Mr Harrison is finally retiring after 37 years of being at Shoreham.

The news was spread a few days ago in an email to the parents, stating the devastating news that our best loved, 'Doris' screaming, bear impersonating, Biology teacher, Deputy Head AND CCF Major is leaving the college at the end of the academic year.

He will be sorely missed and whoever replaces him will have a lot to beat to even get near to the standard Mr Harrison has set. We all wish Mr Harrison a happy, child-free retirement with no brats to wind him up.

Christmas Fayre Goes with Joy

It’s been and gone and raised lots of money! The Christmas fayre this year was a huge success with all the stalls getting lots of willing customers.

There were the House stalls (Grenville-Chocolate   Raleigh-Prize giveaways  Nelson-Everything  Rodney-Mulled wine), The Chocolate, Bottle and Bag tombola, and many more stalls selling amazing gifts.
There were also all the lovely Parents association helping with the catering and Santa’s grotto (with a surprise visit from Santa) and all the fun and games making it really enjoyable and fun (even if you didn’t win anything).
Not Only were there just stalls but there were many extras, this year still had the famous games stalls and a camper-van conversion was in the quad being climbed in.
Many people have told me they had a great time and you could tell the cheer was there!!!!!!

The Christmas Memories, the Christmas Buzz and the Christmas Yet to Come

Christmas in the past at the College has been a success and this year, there is more festivity in the air as the decorations have been put up before the start of December! Teachers and pupils are looking forward for the various events coming up. These events include the carol service, the Year 11 Christmas party, the Early Years Christmas play, the Christmas lunch and the Christmas disco.

Here is a picture of
the Early Years' Nativity:

Year 8 are looking forward to next week's music lesson as Mr Manson said that we will be singing Christmas carols! "We wish you a merry Christmas !" http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/7-5Weqbx3U0/mqdefault.jpg
